A sign of windsurfing maturity.

Well, it's HONKING here at the Florida coast, and I kind of would like to go sailing.

The problem? My truck - and hence, my gear - is approximately 2,800 miles away.

I've got some parts and pieces lying around - but I'm a couple things short of a full rig - and even if it was a full rig, it would be a 6.5 - and gusts are well into the thirties. Yeah, I'm big, but that doesn't sound like much fun.

Wow. This must be a sign of windsurfing maturity. It's windy, and there's waves, but too windy for my gear, so I'm electing to (probably) not go windsurfing.

Or, it could be that I'm about to go to Maui for two weeks.

Slacker! We're getting winds this Sat/Sunday and I'm stoked. Even though Maui is looming. ;-)

Pathetic. You have nobody to borrow gear from? You have no BACKUP GEAR? There's nothing in the back of your garage to rig? Your windsurfing shop has nothing they can lend you?

So it's too windy for you to sail. To quote the great Jason Voss: "As windsurfers, we don't get to say it's too windy to sail."

You, sir, are no windsurfer. You are a gurlyman!
